365.2: WEEK 6

I've been grateful for the week away from photography. In terms of work. Gearing up for some future shoots, but this break was welcomed. We ran some errands. Play at the park. Had a love party. Saw some best friends. Bathed. Colored. Jumped. Ended our week with heart suckers for Valentine's Day.

LOVE PARTY

A darling, dear friend of mine approached me a couple of weeks ago about having a Valentine's Day  party at the park. I jumped at the opportunity and began planning a bunch of activities for our littles. A last minute change resulted in the party being moved to my home, which worked out better all around. Thursday was the big day. Valentine's activities, backyard play, and love-themed lunch - complete with heart-shaped sandwiches and strawberry yogurt parfait. What a fabulous day.

365.2: WEEK 5

You guys. I survived the last 8 days of pure chaos. I have never had so many photo sessions back to back to back in my life. I feel like I was away from home more than I was AT home. And that I rarely saw my family. And that I haven't responded to texts or emails outside of work-related messages. IS THIS WHAT A FULL TIME JOB FEELS LIKE? As amazing as everything has been - and as much as I have grown as a photographer - I am glad that I can slow my pace a little. Take a breather. Minus the part where I now get to edit a ridiculous amount of images. Worth it. I love what I do. So. A brief recap. Photo session. Photo session. Helped in my 1st grader's classroom. Photo session. Met with a new wedding client. Aquarium trip with my 'rents. MOST EPIC WEDDING EVER (plus a family session on the same day). Super Bowl Sunday. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go collapse in a heap on my couch...

365.2: WEEK 4

No. I did not forget. I have been SLAMMED with photo shoots. After tomorrow, I will have completed 6 sessions in eight days - one of which is a wedding. Guys. It is insanity. But I love it. The beginning of last week was pretty low key. A lot of playing together. Indoors, outdoors, at home, & away. Saturday was a newborn session. Last Sunday was a bridal session, but that picture will wait until this Sunday's post since the wedding has not yet happened. You guys. The wedding that I am shooting tomorrow is going to be fabulous. I. CANNOT. WAIT.

365.2: WEEK 3

Another week, another set of photos. The babies and I have had a cold all week, but you'd never know it with all that we've done. Well-checks with the doc. Learning to swing solo. Park play. Trip to the zoo. Play date. I finally ran, hence the picture of the shoes. Still trying desperately to make that a habit. And the last - my most favorite - little details of my baby girl that I want to remember always. Her bunny binky and gold mocs.

365.2: WEEK 2

Another busy week. I'm pretty sure that this just life with six kids. And my personality type. Spontaneous trip to the Desert Botanical Garden. After school park play. Frozen on Ice with a darling princess (who was heartbroken to leave her daddy behind). Littest man turning two. Family picnic at yet another park. Just the gist of things.

365.2: WEEK 1

Guess what. I'M DOING 365 AGAIN. One main difference; this will be a year in our lives in black & white. With six kids, I don't always have time to stress over natural light and skin tones. No no. But I do look forward to daily captures and catching my family's growth. So here we go. The first week (and a half) of 2016. New Year's bonfire. Photographing a wedding. Back to school. Aquarium trip. Learning. Playing. Celebrating.
