WILDLINGS

A week and a half ago, we ditched the sudden heat with some family and set off on an adventure. We headed north and ended up just west of Flagstaff - new territory for us. After finding the perfect [secluded] spot, we pitched our tents, hung our hammocks, and disconnected from the outside world. Four days of blissful freedom. A brief overview:
finding horny toads • swinging in hammocks • digging with shovels • making slingshots • enjoying campfires • roasting hotdogs • cutting firewood • hiking lava tubes • playing card games • using walkie talkies • hiking in the forest • finding twisted trees • walking on fallen trees • getting ridiculously muddy • cooking tinfoil dinners • playing with sticks • watching a movie • putting flowers in our hair • catching lizards • throwing jarts • spotting ladybugs • hiking a little mountain • playing with glow sticks • listening to music • sleeping in tents • spending time with family
