CALI TRIP: BEACH, BEACH, BEACH

The remainder of our beach trip went without a hitch, which was definitely welcomed after the mishap with my mom. We were able to spend three more days filled with adventures, friends, and treats. We enjoyed some old traditions and tried some new things. We swam and played and lounged. After six years of annual beach trips, we've really found our pace. And now that the kids are starting to get older, our trips are running much more smoothly than before. Well. Besides the whole thing with my mom...

FRIDAY: DAY FOUR
ate a quick breakfast before heading to Newport Beach to meet friends
did gymnastics at the beach! and enjoyed our time with the TX Hales
spent the day playing in the sand, in the water, and on the rocks
rode the ferry to Balboa Island and visited our favorite candy shop for taffy
returned via ferry and rode the ferris wheel at Balboa Fun Zone

SATURDAY: DAY FIVE
took our time in the morning and parted ways with my parents
headed out to Bolsa Chica Beach later than planned
decided on plan B when Bolsa Chica was backed up for a mile
played at Huntington Beach for a few hours
rented a family pedal bike and rode to the Huntington pier
went to Downtown Disney before dinner for some beignets

SUNDAY: DAY SIX
packed up and cleared out of the rental house in Anaheim
made a last minute change and headed to San Pedro
checked out the tide pools near the Cabrillo Bath House
visited to the Cabrillo Marine Aquarium before heading home
