365: WEEK 30

This week has been an adventure. Two doctors' visits and a road trip. On Wednesday, Baby B had a doctor's appointment. He weighs 20 lbs. Essentially, he's a chunk. A happy, healthy chunk. On friday, we drove out to California to go play in the ocean with our friends, the Hales. Newport has CRAZY [bad] parking, but a beautiful beach. We stayed out a little too long with not enough sunscreen (i.e. none). Worth it. On Monday, another doctor's appointment. This time, for me. The BIG one. I basically had a break down in the car before the appointment; my nerves were shot in regards to finding out gender. But more on that later. My favorite image of the week: July 26th - Beach Babe. Even though I am OCD about keeping things clean and organized, I love the beach. Practically impossible to be clean and organized at the beach. Once I got adjusted to the chaos of sand, toys, water, and five kids, I enjoyed myself. It was fun watching all of the littles play, too. Baby B loved experiencing sand for the first time; he was so fascinated with the way it moved through his fingers.

I KNEW I was having a boy. I wasn't trying to just tell myself that. I KNEW it. The car ride to the appointment was nerve-racking ; I was a mess. I've always known how to read an ultrasound, so when I saw a lack of parts, I realized what it meant before my doctor told me. I laughed. I shouted. I cried. It was probably ridiculous. But I never thought it would happen. I am having another sweet baby girl. I am ecstatic.

365: WEEK 29

I've been so focused on our trip to Cali that I never got around to posting last week's photos. Whoops. Last week had a few firsts. Baby's first time eating solids; he tried bananas. My first time making ice cream in a bag. Messy fun. And baby's first time attempting to crawl; he has the hand & knee bounce down like a pro. My favorite image of the week: July 22nd - Bouncing On Hands & Knees. I just love watching this guy grow. I am grateful I have been able to capture his milestones with my 365 photo challenge; these images are priceless.

365: WEEK 28

A little bit of excitement this past week. First, Chick-Fil-A had their annual 'Cow Appreciation Day', so we donned some spots, tails, and ears in order to receive a free meal. Because who doesn't like free? Second, I took the kids to Payson for a day away. It was fabulous. We found a great park with green grass, tall trees, and a little lake. We played and ate snacks while watching a storm roll in. Perfect and simple. Third, my parents brought me fresh salmon from Seattle. That might not sound like much to you, but words cannot describe my love for smoked salmon. My favorite image of the week: July 12th - Playing In Payson. The image itself is not the most fantastic or interesting shot I have ever captured. What makes this my favorite are the memories behind it. I feel as if a lot of this summer is just a blur of reoccurring activities - which is perfectly fine - but this day stands out. I can look at this image and be pulled back to my impromptu trip up north to just BE with my littles.

365: WEEK 27

I never posted my photos last week. Which is humorous, because I had them edited and posted to Flickr a week ago. My nose has been stuck in a book. Priorities, right? Actually, I think I am getting my priorities in order; we spend so much time as a family doing all sorts of activities. I am not sure what is different. More daylight hours? New work hours? Something clearly related to time. My favorite image of the week: July 3rd - Peek-A-Boo. This little guy's personality is so BIG. He is almost always laughing or smiling. Loves that he can sit up with his brothers and sister. Scooting around on his belly to get to things. Gobbling up food like a champ. I am glad that I listened when Heavenly Father said we weren't suppose to be done after Nene.

365: WEEK 26

HALF WAY! I have taken a photograph every single day for the last half year. Ridiculous. This last week has been a difficult one. Stress. Sickness. Silly little things. I can't even remember half of the things that made this past week so rough. But I am here. I am half way through. And I am at the end of my first trimester, too. Six more months and I will have [hopefully] completed this goal successfully. Six more months and I will have my last little one. Six more month and I will be the mother of six children. Ha. My favorite image of the week: June 29th - Starting To Sit. I can't believe this little guy is this big already. He is such a lover.
